Aproximación a los primeros resultados globales provisionales del PMVC.

First results of the national survey of vertebrate mortality in roads. All provinces were covered. Data distribution was not uniform among provinces. More than 29,000 dead vertebrates were counted: birds (35.3%), mammals (31.8%) amphibians (26.1%) and reptiles (6.2%). A "class index" was defined as the number of individuals divided by the number of species present in each vertebrate class. The index was highest for amphibians (543), followed by mammals (171), reptiles (61) and birds (61). By far, the most affected species were Bufo bufo, followed by Passer domesticus, Felis catus and Erinaceus europaeus.

Primeros resultados del inventario nacional de la mortalidad de vertebrados en carreteras. Se cubrieron todas las provincias. La distribución de datos no fue uniforme entre las provincias. Se contabilizaron más de 29.000 vertebrados muertos: aves (35,3%), mamíferos (31,8%) anfibios (26,1%) y reptiles (6,2%). Se ha definido un índice de clase como el número de individuos dividido por de especies presentes en cada clase de vertebrados. El índice fue más alto para los anfibios (543), seguido por los mamíferos (171), reptiles (61) y aves (61). De lejos, las especies más afectadas han sido Bufo bufo, seguidas por Passer domesticus, Felis catus y Erinaceus europaeus.
