Survey of vertebrate road kills in Santa Pola, Alicante province, E Spain. A 6-km stretch of the national road N-332 was surveyed twice a month, one year-round. Bats were the most affected vertebrate group in spring and summer. Several black spots were detected. Mortality frequencies by vertebrate class: birds (52%), mammals (39%), and reptiles (9%).

Resultados de la prospección de los atropellos en Santa Pola, en la provincia de Alicate, E España. Se prospectó un tamo de 6 km de la carretera nacional N-332 dos veces al mes durante un año. Los muerciélagos fueron el grupo más afectado en primavera y verano. Se detectaron diversos puntos negros. Las frecuencias de mortandad para la clase de vertebrados fueron: aves (52%), mamíferos (39%) y reptiles (9%).
